What to do if Board Paradise Rips You Off

So I was thinking, these people ripped me off, what can I do about it. Here's the list:

1. Complain to the BBB
Go HERE and fill out a complaint. They might resolve the complaint, or at least those who follow you will be warned.

2. Give a negative rating and review on Google Maps
Go HERE and sign into your Google account. Then give Board Paradise a rating like they deserve.

3. Give a negative rating and review on Yahoo Local
Go HERE and sign into your Yahoo account. Then give Board Paradise a rating like they deserve.

My Experience with boardsportsplus (Board Paradise)

In November of 2007 I went to ebay to buy some Flow NXT snowboard bindings. Lo and behold, boardsportsplus had them for the lowest price.

I should have looked at their feedback a little better.

Two weeks later I recieved a box. They had sent Boots! I sent them a message saying I had received the wrong item, and asking could they send me the bindings and mail me a shipping label so I could send the boots back.

They relied: send the boots back and then we'll send the bindings. I disagreed, due to the fact that they had made the mistake, and should have to pay for shipping back the boots.

This went on for some time, with them never to pay for their mistake. Eventually I had to complain to Paypal. After that they said they would send the shipping label, but never did.

Finally, nearly two months later, Paypal ruled that I should send the boots back (me paying the shipping) and I would recieve a refund.

Unfortunately this came all to late for my snowboarding trip, which was in December.

Over and over you hear the same thing: customers bought something from them, they sent the wrong item (or it was damaged), and Board Paradise (aka Tightboards.com) wouldn't make it right.

Sometimes they just plain wouldn't send anything.

Board Paradise aka boardsportsplus

The purpose of this blog is to expound on a company know as Board Paradise, CrossRoad Sports, boardsportsplus (on ebay), and many other names.

This company has many online stores, with names such as Board Deals, Buy Skate, Sandal Superstore, Buy Shades, Tight Boards, and Wakeboard Superstore. In my opinion, all of them have less than a clean record.

The company has a number of physical locations, including eight snowboard shops spread over North Carolina. It owns many websites, including its main one boardparadise.com. Its official name is CrossRoad Sports Inc.

The reputation of this company is a stark one. It has 88 BBB complaints in only the last 36 months. See this report HERE.

Also it sells on Ebay using the name "boardsportsplus". There its record is not too stellar, featuring 18 negative feedback ratings in only the last 6 months. See this report HERE.
